35 Reasons Why THE CHARGE SLIP Will Remain The Standard For
Respiratory Therapy Data Management Software.
1. LAN ready. Supports the MS-DOS Netbios 3.1 standard of file and
record locking.
2. The program is menu driven and includes a tutorial to ensure that
minimal time is required to be up and running.
3. Help screens are conveniently placed throughout the program. Help
reminders for The Charge Slip's powerful control keys are at the
bottom of all data entry screens.
4. Each database has a capacity to hold up to 17 million records.
5. Daily patient charges may be entered by each therapist when they
finish their shift. Charges may then be posted and printed for
each day up to 3 days later.
6. Daily charges may be exported in fixed-length, comma delimited or
text format for easy uploading to the hospital's main computer.
7. Therapist productivity may (optional) be automatically entered
while the charges are being entered by each therapist.
8. Inventory items used for each therapy may (optional) be deducted
during the charges entry. When leaving the charges area, a
warning will advise of any inventory items that need re-ordering.
An inventory request list (order form) may be printed of low
stock items.
9. Patient charting may be entered during charges entry and a chart
ready copy printed for each patient that includes ABG data.
10. Managers may restrict each individual employee's access to any
area of the program.
11. Password protection for all key management files.
12. Complete address database with the ability to import and export
records, print lists, envelopes, index/Rolodex cards, labels,
single and carrier fed post cards and envelopes. Tag records for
batch printing or export. Mail merge capabilities.
13. A small word processor for letters and memos.
14. The ability to track and report patients on homecare.
15. TCS5.0's own backup/view/restore capabilities.
16. Leave reminders and messages for yourself, another staff member
or the whole department, that will pop-up on a selected date.
17. Reports of therapy performed on the previous shift may be
generated for staffing adjustments.
18. Charge entry errors can be searched for and changed by the
patient's medical record number, the date or the procedure
performed.
19. Equipment maintenance records can be stored and a separate pop-up
reminder screen accessed from the main menu.
20. Employee CEUs can be stored and a separate pop-up reminder screen
accessed from the main menu.
21. Patient evaluations can be entered and stored with the ability to
print a chart ready evaluation.
22. Patient assignments for each therapist can be generated by room /
floor or by therapy.
23. Managers can enter a permanent note that will be printed at the
top of each patient assignment sheet.
24. Employee time card and evaluation data can be stored and printed.
25. All reports can be printed, viewed on the screen or sent to a
disk file in ASCII and imported into another program.
26. Patient ABG and ventilator/O2 data can be entered and reported.
27. Management reports include; employee workload, employee
productivity, labor costs, materials costs, long and short form
therapy totals for any given period, and a complete financial
statement. Labor costs are based on who did the therapy and what
they were paid, to give a true labor cost of the therapy.
Materials costs are based on equipment deducted during charges
entry to give a true picture of the materials cost of a therapy.
28. Individual non-permanent data files may be purged by date (at the
users discretion) of data to increase storage and disk speed.
29. Print double stick labels for disposable inventory items from
within your department. Print as many as you need, when you need
them. Label ordering information provided.
30. The ability to notify a selected employee, a selected number of
days before the end of the month, that they need to perform a
data file backup and purge.
31. The ability to tag a patient as temporary and then delete all
temporary patients by date.
32. Run DOS commands from within the program.
33. Pie, bar, horizontal bar and line charts of your data may be
generated and printed.
34. The Charge Slip has been running in Respiratory Therapy
Departments for over six years.
35. Designed by a Registered Respiratory Therapist with over 18 years
in the profession.
